Each child is assessed using the standard autism diagnosis tools used throughout the world, the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Assessment (ADOS-2), together with a detailed nursery or school questionnaire

Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R)

A structured parental interview which takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour

 

 

Autism Diagnostic Observation Assessment (ADOS-2)

A standardised play-based assessment which also takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour

 

Nursery / School Questionnaire

We obtain an observational report from the nursery or school SENCO, Keyworker or Class Teacher in the form of a structured questionnaire

Raven's Coloured Progressive Matrices

A screen of non-verbal abilities for children aged 4-11years may also be undertaken if appropriate.
